I have this massive workload coming my way. And assignments. Major stress.
Despite the feeling of total annoyance towards people in general & some specifically, and stiff pain on my left shoulder up to my neck (the way my body signaling that I'm in stress), I hit the treadmill and have a good 2km run. Bring E (ecstasy) back to EXERCISE. When I was in deep emotional stress couple of years ago, a good friend suggested that I should run, run fast. Running is a distraction and running can make you sleeping like a baby at night. It work sooo fine I even shed a few kilos!
So I run today. And I will run tomorrow. And the day after tomorrow.
I usually find comfort, a relieve from stress in a tub of Double Dutch Wall's Ice-cream, red-velvet mangnolia cupcakes from Delicious..or just a sinful chocolate cake will do. Or better if I have a pair of comforting arms hugging me. But since "arms" become a total annoyance and sweet-treats don't go along with my flabby tummy..running is a better choice to overcome stress.
Owh btw, have you ever stumble across a legal case in UK called Johnstone vs Blommsbury Health Authority? It is about stress at work and what is your right as an employee.
It is indeed, the title of my assignment to submit this week.
